There was a time when most comic book fans would become enraged at the thought of 20th Century Fox producing a superhero movie, but after last year's X-Men: First Class wowed audiences, there is hope that the studio has ended its cost-cutting ways and embraced a more sophisticated vision for its films. And the next comic book property that Fox is looking to reinvent is The Man without Fear himself, Daredevil.

Last year, director David Slade (30 Days of Night, Twilight: Eclipse) was hired to bring Ol' Horn Head back to the silver screen, and now Deadline is reporting that the project is moving forward with David James Kelly being hired to rewrite the script. The site is also claiming that the movie will be based off of Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's classic storyline "Born Again."

In that story, The Kingpin discovers that Daredevil is actually Matt Murdock and proceeds to make his life a living hell. There is no word on who could be cast in the movie or when production will actually begin, but it seems like the project is finally moving forward.
