Aaron Sorkin

Most hated technology: The Internet
Date: Sept. 17, 2010

How ironic is it that the Oscar-winning screenwriter behind The Social Network just so happens to be a huge pessimist of the information superhighway. In his New York Magazine interview, Sorkin spills the details on his skepticism towards the Web and its reckless handling of private information: “I’m going to give you a rant...There’s just too much bad information getting out there, and I have to believe that’s mostly the fault of the Internet, which isn’t held to any standards of accuracy...I don't want my fidelity to be to the truth; I want it to be to storytelling." And great storytelling it is.
