If you’re still partaking in 4/20 festivities this weekend, do yourself a favor and check out Bun B’s new weed-centric record called “Slow It Down.”
The track was produced by Bun’s frequent collaborator Big K.R.I.T., who also handles the song’s hazy chorus:
Rolling round' my window, bring me down
Smokin' to ease the stress
Sunshine on my chrome while the woofer sounds
Sometime the rain's the best when we blow it down
Blow it down, blow it down
When you Slow it down, slow it down, slow it down
The rain's the best when we
“Decided to drop something to smoke to for 4/20,” Bun wrote on social media Friday.
As expected, the record delivers some pretty laid-back vibes anchored by a hefty dose of smooth jazz elements. You can listen to “Slow It Down” below.
“Slow It Down” arrives nearly two months after Bun blessed fans with “Knowhatimsayin” featuring Slim Thug and Lil Keke, and just hours after he appeared on Killa Kyleon’s “Doga Sweet” record alongside ASAP Rocky.
The UGK rapper is also gearing up to release his fourth solo studio album, Return of the Trill, later this year. It’ll mark his first full-length project since 2013’s Trill OG: The Epilogue.
Stay tuned as more details about Return of the Trill come through.
