YG’s starting the year strong with a new video for his 2018 single “Suu Whoop,” released on Tuesday. In the gritty visual, we see the L.A. native booling with his friends in his city’s streets, in cars, outfitted in red clothing. YG is undoubtedly putting on for his Blood gang: even the scenes are often masked in a red light.

Interestingly, YG might even be dissing 6ix9ine in the song, per Genius. On “Suu Whoop,” YG raps, “I ain’t with the pink-haired Blood shit (suu whoop)/I ain’t with the only-at-the-club-Bloodin' (suu whoo-suu whoop). 6ix9ine’s rainbow-colored hair has pink in it, and he openly reps the Bloods as well.

YG also compares someone to a clown, another meme that 6ix9ine is often likened to: “Fuck it, you don't wanna be a bitch, ni**a/You a clown, you IT, ni**a.” The New York MC has been a largely polarizing figure, particularly after it was reported that he pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance, which arose from an incident that happened when he was 18.

Though the cut is YG’s first solo single of the year, he guested on Nipsey Hussle’s “Last Time That I Checc’d,” a single from his debut album Victory Lap. After releasing "Suu Whoop" back in February, YG announced that he has a new album on the way later this year, purportedly titled Stay Dangerous.

After YG released his 2016 project Red Friday, he revealed that he was set to release a new mixtape titled Just Re'd Up 3 in 2017. While that never came to fruition, he did tease that him and DJ Mustard were working on a new tape called 400 Summers. While we haven't heard word about that one either, with the arrival of the "Suu Whoop" video, it's clear that YG has something big in store for 2018.
