Rising artist NSTASIA is set to release her debut EP New Religion later this month, and today she shares the Skrillex-produced "Parachute."

"'Parachute' was a lot of fun to make. Lyrically and musically it makes me feel playful and cool," she told Complex via email. "It all started with this loop my producer friend Alex Teamer played that sounded like a dope kids song. I love to do the exact opposite of what's expected musically, so this 1960s doo-wop inspired melody came to me that you hear in the hook. Mixed with urban lyrics and urban melodies it sounded familiar yet fresh."

"'Parachute' is about being so high and enjoying it that if you have to come down you want it to be a safe landing (lol)," she added about the song. "It's too much fun up top. Whether you're high off life or smoke, whatever your high is you always want to come down safely. Coming from such a dope experience working with Skrillex on the Vindata record 'Favor,' he and I continued to vibe. He heard my melody and lyrics to 'Parachute' and loved it so much that he wanted to create on it production-wise. He's so amazing and it's always a blast working with him so it was only right that he be a part of my EP."

NSTASIA was raised in Asheville, North Carolina, and music is literally in her blood. Her father, a session musician, worked with soul artists like Betty Wright. She signed with producer Rodney Jerkins when she was in college, and built up a serious track record as a songwriter. Now, with songs like "Parachute" and "Hell of a Time," both off of New Religion, she's ready to step out on her own.

Check out "Parachute" above and pre-order the New Religion EP here. It officially drops Nov. 17.
