CyHi the Prynce has offered the tiniest glimmer of an update on the long-overdue Cruel Winter. In a new interview with VladTV, CyHi reminded everyone of the difficulty of getting so many heavy hitters in the room together and also opened up about his recent work with G.O.O.D. Music founder Kanye West.

"Man, let me tell you, so I could kinda tell now," CyHi, at around the 3:30 mark in the video above, said when asked about reports that West had recently been receiving treatment following his hospitalization and subsequent tour cancelation last year. "I didn't know at first, but I could kinda tell because he's a lot more nicer to me, but I don't like the nice 'Ye. Like, I don't like if my rap is not dope, you gotta kinda dance around it and it feels like, how you gonna tell me my rap is not dope? No. That's just wack. That's the Kanye I like. Why would you want somebody to lie to you?"

Ultimately, CyHi added, much of the controversy surrounding West can be attributed to his genius. "That's how you get a great individual," he said. "When I went into the situation, I knew I was dealing with a genius. I didn't look at him nothing else but a genius. So anything that comes with being around a genius, I'm with it. A lot of people just ain't with it."

As for Cruel Winter, CyHi suggested fans support his solo work if they want the Cruel Summer sequel sessions to start speeding along. "You have to support CyHi's album if you want Cruel Winter," CyHi said at around the 6:00 mark. "I am the main writer at G.O.O.D. Music and [Travis Scott] is the main production guy and Pusha's the president."
