"For me, Bruno Mars is the greatest performer in the world," executive producer Ben Winston said in a statement Tuesday. "To be producing his first television special is a true honor. This will be a special show and a special night." Mars is executive-producing Live at the Apollo, portions of which are still being filmed, alongside Winston.

Mars and the Hooligans recently taped their Apollo appearance, kicking off the set with a performance atop the iconic venue's marquee. The special also promises additional unreleased live performances and an in-the-streets segment that sees Mars and his band singing with passersby. Catch the full one-hour event Nov. 29 on CBS at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The album from which the special takes its name, 24K Magic, recently helped Mars tie a massive Billboard record. Mars is now tied with Phil Collins, Frankie Valli, and Elvis Presley for the seventh most Hot 100 No. 1 singles among male artists. When you narrow the stats down to this decade alone, Mars is No. 1 overall.

Mars is currently in the middle of his 24K Magic World Tour, which picks back up Sept. 14 in Charlotte, North Carolina and keeps Mars on the road through (at least) February 2018. Get dates and ticket info here.
