Can we get through one award show without any beef?

During tonight’s VMAs, Remy Ma and Terrence J were getting fans ready for 30 Seconds to Mars’ performance later in the evening. Before cutting to commercial, Remy dropped a “Nicki, what’s good?” with a smile. If you haven't figured out Remy’s strategy by now, this reference has a lot of layers.

In 2015, Nicki called out Miley Cyrus for her comments in the press about how rappers handled getting snubbed from the Video of the Year category. Nicki ended her acceptance speech for Best Hip-hop Video with: "and now, back to this bitch who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press: Miley, W\what's good?"

Clearly, Remy and Nicki are still not on good terms. Nicki’s last few verses on new songs—namely London on da Track's “No Flag”—could all be in reference to her. And Remy isn’t buying it, using the VMAs platform—the same one Nicki used to address some issues—to make a declaration.

Nicki and Remy’s feud goes back a few years, gaining more attention after “ShETHER” and “Another One” caused an uproar online. With this latest jab by Remy, at this point these two will never be friends.
