Unsurprisingly, tickets to the eighth annual OVO Fest sold out in a matter of minutes. Though some fans had complete meltdowns over their loss, others remained hopeful they could eventually secure tickets on a resell site. It was a completely viable and realistic option; however, several bold individuals tried to take advantage of the demand by listing tickets for up to $100,000. And, yes, that’s $100,000 EACH.
Twitter users pointed out the obscene ticket prices on Monday, just hours before OVO Fest 2017 was set to begin.
We’d be surprised if anyone was desperate enough to cough up six figures; but then again, Drake stans have done some pretty crazy things to prove their devotion.
Tonight's OVO Fest is going down now at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Drake will take the stage along with Partynextdoor, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods, Dvsn, and, most likely, several surprise guests.
