The producer behind Desiigner's breakout hit "Panda" has issued a public apology regarding recent comments he made about a copyright infringement claim and delayed payments. In a statement shared to Twitter Tuesday, Menace told Kanye West, Future, and Mike Dean he was sorry for releasing "unfounded and sensitive information to the media."

The confusion started earlier this month when Menace joinedDJBooth for an interview. "There was a situation with Future putting [an infringement] claim in because apparently, he said that 'Panda' sounded like 'Fuck Up Some Commas,'" Menace claimed at the time. "So we were just about to see the checks but there's been a lot of delays so we won't see anything until next year anyway."

Menace also claimed that producer Mike Dean had put in a claim of his own for doing "something" with the beat. "I don't think we'll see a check until probably next year," he said. "Right now, it's just going through negotiations." Desiigner's hit, of course, was also prominently featured on West's 2016 album The Life of Pablo.

Dean later issued a statement of his own to XXL, saying Menace should "get facts straight" before speaking on his name. "I let the claim go because I have better shit to do than fight with people over BS," Dean said.

In his formal apology Tuesday, Menace said all three artists continue to provide him with "immense" inspiration. "I hope that, with time, they will all be able to accept my apologies," he said.

The tweet has since been liked by Dean.
