Producer FKi 1st steps out as a solo artist and delivers his new single "The Meaning" featuring Post Malone. On the track, he and Post spit bars about "all this money, all this green" as they show off their vintage cars before ending up on an L.A. roof with the city in the background. If you listen to the lyrics, you can see the two are actually rapping about how little material things actually matter in real life.

It only makes sense Post would hop on the track since 1st executive produced his debut mixtape, August 26, and is also producing his forthcoming debut album.

As one half of the Atlanta production team FKi, the release marks 1st's debut solo effort as he also releases his six track EP, First Time for Everything. The EP includes features from MakonnenNJOMZA, the late Bankroll Fresh, and more. Bankroll Fresh tragically and suddenly passed away earlier this year, giving 1st a whole new meaning to their collaboration together. "It’s a weird and crazy situation with Bankroll since we were good friends," he told Vibe. "I mean, I kind of hold the song like it’s a piece of treasure now."

1st has long been influencing artists around him, producing "White Iverson," 2 Chainz's "Watch Out," along with songs for Travi$ Scott, Jeremih, and Ty Dolla $ign. It's pretty great to see 1st come out of the gate with his own, unapologetically raw material. Watch the video for "The Meaning" above and stream Fki 1st's First Time for Everything EP below via Mad Decent.
