At this point, Tim Westwood's freestyle series is legendary. The British DJ has brought hip-hop icons like Eminem, Snoop DoggOl' Dirty Bastard, Common and more to spit it off the top on his radio show. Today, in the spirit of #ThrowbackThursday, he shared another great freestyling moment, this time with Method Man and Redman of the Wu-Tang Clan. The pair get down and dirty, trading bars back and forth with each other over the beat to Pharoahe Moch's "Simon Says." "Get out of line, I'll smack a chicken lo mein/When I be drunk like white folks at football games," spits Method Man.

The freestyle dates back to 1999, around the time when Method and Red were on the promotion circuit for their collaborative album Blackout! They end up rapping together for almost a half hour, an impressive feat for any rapper, but the iconic artists make it look easy. It's probable that some of these bars even slipped into their subsequent recordings, so keep your ears peeled for familiar rhymes. You can check out their rap saga in the video above.
