Mitski was one of our artists to watch at last year's SXSW, and since then she's only been getting bigger and better. She became an indie rock darling with her impressive 2014 debut, Bury Me at Makeout Creek, and the absence of a new release in 2015 was felt heavily by fans who couldn't get enough—myself included. Well God bless because Mitski (née Mitski Miyawaki) just announced her sophomore LP, Puberty 2, a title that seems apt for an artist who's always made me feel overwhelming teen-girl sensations with her music.

Ahead of Puberty 2—which boils down to this quote: "Happiness fucks you"—the New York-based musician teased new material with a song called, "Your Best American Girl." The feels hit you immediately when she starts singing, "If I could, I'd be your little spoon/And kiss your fingers forever more/But big spoon, you have so much to do/And I have nothing ahead of me." Her soothing, hushed voice against her acoustic strumming will make you feel like you're being enveloped in a giant quilted blanket. It'll also make you feel a little sad, but a little sad can be a good thing. Plus, she bursts into an electric power ballad in the chorus that's sure to be a belt-in-the-bedroom staple. Mitski's Puberty 2 comes out June 17.
