UPDATE 9:30PM: Snoop Dogg posted an Instagram video tonight denying that he was the victim of a concert equipment robbery after TMZ's earlier report. "TMZ no, they didn't get my shit. My shit is with me. False story, Snoop Dogg on the way to the bay. They didn't get me, they got somebody else," he said. It looks like the Doggfather's equipment is safe and sound after all. Check out his video response below.

It looks like someone is cruising for a bruising from the Doggfather. TMZ reports that an SUV containing "a bunch of laptops, luggage, and concert gear," belonging to Snoop Dogg was burglarized last night in San Francisco. Unidentified thieves broke into the car overnight and made off with all the equipment, which Snoop was using to put on a number of concerts in the area associated with the Super Bowl.

According to the report, he was scheduled to pay The Regency Ballroom tonight, and the gear was essential for the concert to go on. Police have yet to identify the thief. While Snoop certainly has money to cover his losses, it's still sad to see someone stealing from a hip-hop icon. Hopefully he'll be able to recover and put the shows on as planned.
