Ne-Yo and Nelly Furtado had the honor of singing the U.S. national anthem and Canadian national anthem tonight at the NBA All-Star Game. From viewers and fan reactions on Twitter, they must have done the songs justice because they were pleased.
The singer/songwriter was respectable during his rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner,” taking off his hat before singing the lyrics with a lot of emotion that got the whole stadium erupted. Does this one beat out Lady Gaga’s at Super Bowl 50?
Below, you can watch Furtado do her take of “O Canada.” With Tony Duncan by her side playing flute, she performed the song with elegance.
