Chief Keef is one of the most important artists in recent Chicago history, but we're not completely sure elementary schools are the most appropriate place to learn about his life story. It looks like some Chicago parents feel the exact same way, and are even looking to take action against a substitute teacher that gave out a Chief Keef test to kids at a local Chicago school.
According to FakeShoreDrive, sixth graders at Fiske Elementary school were asked by a teacher to memorize Keef's past for a test, which included questions about his arrest record. One parent in particular was so outraged that she posted the above video, where she talks about the test and how inappropriate it was for the students to learn about. The test included questions about Keef getting shot, and at what age he stopped attending school. "My son has a music teacher that has decided to teach the students about this clown that speaks of death, gangs," Katrina Sanders said. Sanders is one of the many parents who were upset about the class and took to the media to help get the word out about what was going on.
According to the report, the Keef exam was just a small bit of what was going on in the class, and the students also took tests on Chris Brown, Tyga, and Fetty Wap as well. “Now I’m pissed, heads are coming off,” said Sanders. The substitute teacher was reportedly already removed from the school, though it's unclear where this lesson plan came from in the first place.
“This inappropriate project was immediately suspended by the principal as soon as she learned about it,” said Emily Bittner, a spokeswoman for Chicago Public Schools. “While teachers have flexibility in making assignments, CPS requires them to provide age-appropriate material in the classroom," she said. To make things even more confusing, parents complained that their kids came home with questions about the illuminati and were scared about the material. It seems that this particular sixth grade class was way too woke for its own good.
