Last month, Ryan Adams dropped his cover album of Taylor Swift's chart-topping, year dominating album 1989. Now, the rock singer interviewed Taylor as part of her first ever GQ cover story. While Taylor spent another part of the cover story trying to prove that "Bad Blood" wasn't actually about Katy Perry, Ryan tackles different topics including song inspiration, dreaming up song lyrics, The Smiths and Siri. The most interesting revelation may be Taylor's '80s movie source for 1989. "For 1989, I would watch John Hughes movies," she explained. "And I would think, 'Okay, pause, freeze-frame, what's she thinking in this moment? What's he thinking in this moment?'" Watch the interview above and check out Taylor's full GQ cover story.
