Today in Fox News fuckery, Sean Hannity went on his radio show and asked why retailers weren't banning rap music along with the Confederate flag. Because, obviously those two things are one in the same. Here is some of what he had to say:

"Retailers are banning the Confederate flag. Now some of these same retailers, for example, Sears, Walmart, Amazon, eBay, and the rest of the retailers in the last 24 hours have announced that they intend to discontinue sales of the Confederate flag. I have a question: can you still buy a Jay-Z CD at Walmart? Does the music department at Sears have any Ludacris albums? Can I download 50 Cent on Amazon? Can I do that? Can I get some Snoop Dogg albums on eBay? Now, why do I say that? Because a lot of the music by those artists is chock-full of the ‘N word,’ by the way and the ‘B-word,’ and the ‘H-word,’ and racist, misogynist, sexist anti-woman slurs none of those retail executives would be caught dead using."

He also said that he doesn't get Prince's music, that Beyonce has a "whole song" where she uses the B-word in reference to women, that Jay defended his use of the N-word on Oprah, and that if it's OK for Obama's daughters to walk into one of these stores and buy music "chock full of the N-word, the B-word, well maybe we should consider banning that too. We're in the process of banning everything."

A couple things: The Confederate flag represents treason. It shouldn't had been allowed on public property in the first place. This is not a freedom of speech issue. It's about finally acknowledging what this flag truly stands for. Contrary to popular belief, African-Americans are part of this country too. What is up with people and this flag? Along with the Nazi flag, the Ku Klux Klan waves the Confederate flag proudly. So why don't retailers sell KKK uniforms and Nazi flags? If we're using Sean Hannity's logic, we might as well go all out. Plus, Walmart picks and chooses what rap they sell anyway.

Sadly, he has an audience of people believing this warped rationale. Those goddamn liberals want to ban everything!
