While Lil Wayne's long-awaited upcoming album, Tha Carter V, is currently in limbo due to Weezy's current frustrations with Birdman and Cash Money, it appears that "Mixtape Weezy" might be making an appearance to save the day. Though nothing has been confirmed by Wayne, two Instagram posts today - one from Young Money President Mack Maine and the other by Fee Banks - hint that Weezy is currently working on a Sorry For the Wait 2 mixtape to make up for the album not being out.

If you remember, Wayne's first Sorry For the Wait project was released back in 2011 as an apology to fans while they waited for his Carter IV album to drop. On the project, Wayne rapped over a number of the hottest beats of the moment, something that he has been known to do throughout his career, especially for his Dedication mixtape series.

Over the weekend, Mack Maine confirmed Weezy's frustrations with the label during a radio interview in Miami, but did promise that Carter V would be out during the first quarter of 2015. Until then, is Wayne about to give fans a little holiday gift to end 2014? We will just have to wait and see.
