After recently signing with OVO Sound, Makonnen refuses to slow down at all. Over the past week, he showed up during the Atlanta stop of the "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" tour and Fool's Gold Day Off in Brooklyn on Monday. Today, he's back with a new track along with upstart Georgia band, Sea Ghost. "Running Away" features heavier production and plenty of twinkling guitar riffs which lays the perfect grungy platform for Makonnen to lay his distorted vocals, and Sea Ghost to croon away. It's more than obvious Makonnen is a pretty versatile artist but if he's also leaning towards indie rock as well, he'll take over the world before we know it.
