It's been a while since we heard from Dirty South; I remember how impactful his Speed of Life LP was on the DAD crew when it dropped, and now it looks like this Grammy-nominated producer is back with a vengeance. Today it's been announced that Dirty South signed a deal with Astralwerks. He has a new single, "Unbreakable" due out in August, as well as a full-length album and a short film (which he wrote, shot, and directed) in the pipeline for later this year. From what we see, this project is set to find Dirty south "traversing the electronic, indie, and alternative soundscape to create a sound all his own."
Dirty South has a few tour dates in the U.S.; you can catch him in LA in the middle of August, and at Electric Zoo on August 31. We wonder what kind of sounds he'll be bringing during these upcoming gigs.
