Today, Complex TV and DoAndroidsDance? is proud to present a new video series. Entitled "The Drop," we've linked up with one of the electronic music scene's most prolific producers, Photek, to host a batch of discussions with a wide array of producers, looking to decipher their lives, making music, and everything that leads up to, well, the drop. While this series will feature a number of acts (including Borgore, The Crystal Method, Claude VonStroke, and Rusko), this first episode features the legendary Moby, a singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ that's done a lot for getting dance music into the mainstream both in American and abroad.

In their discussion, Moby touches on a number of different points, from the story behind his first studio, the struggle for producing music for vinyl releases (and how it differs from today), performing live with Joy Division, the themes of most of his music, censoring himself, and more. He even pulls out a bass and runs through a number of styles of playing. It's a great look at Moby in his own words. Keep it locked, as we're going to continue looking at "life, music, and everything that makes it happen" with Photek on The Drop.
