Malik Ferraud looks to take the next step in his music with the release of "You Alive." The production, which comes courtesy of Shark, is more progressive than in some of the Baltimore native's earlier releases, with jazzy piano keys that are minimalistic yet provide an airy feeling. Ferraud's flow dances over the keys effortlessly, as he thinks about his future, wanting to break free of the confines he finds himself in. The Dan St. Ours-directed clip sees him rapping inside an elegant mansion and outside in the snow, a dramatic contrast of locations.
