A common trope in D.C. rapper Lightshow's music is the need to remove himself from the life of crime that he grew up in. This is evident in "Regardless," a standout track off his last mixtape, Life Sentence 2. In a moment of stark honesty, he says, "I hope God still fucks with me/'Cause I only call when I need something."

The video for "Regardless" is set throughout the city, but some of the scenes from within a church are poignant, as the DMV native sits and reflects for the first time in months alone. Filled with humility, he also acts as a janitor in other parts of the video.
