Dice Raw is gearing up for the release of his new album, Jimmy's Back, and the Philadelphia artist recently provided a quick preview of the project done to some riveting visuals of the documentary, Pull of Gravity.

The title of the album tell two stories, one of which is inspired by the book, The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Color Blindness, by author Dr. Michelle Alexander. The other part comes from the tragic passing of Dice's close friend, Jimmy Davis (aka Jimmie Wallstreet), who was murdered on June 20 at the age of 34.

"Jimmy was all about positivity," Dice Raw said. "It's a tragedy that his life had to play out this way. I wanted to dedicate this album to him in the hopes of changing some perspectives and saving some lives."

Jimmy's Back is tentatively scheduled for an August 4 release date.
