Last night at Atlanta’s Treesound Studios, Trinidad James received his gold plaque for his hit song "All Gold Everything."
Trinidad is in a weird place right now. Sure, "All Gold" was a smash but it got tired very quickly and the remixes didn't do much to extend it's run. Meanwhile, his follow-up single "Females Welcome" failed to impact the way "All Gold" did (even though it's a pretty great song).
Will Trinidad be able to pull another rabbit out of the hat and drop a song that really connects? It feels less likely, almost as if the success of "All Gold" is coming back to haunt him.
