Today, Diddy got on Twitter to announce that he's becoming a series regular on his favorite show...Downton Abbey.
That's right, the guy who once declared he had money hanging out his anus is now going to be apart of one of the most critically acclaimed shows of the past few years.
The show is a British period drama about an aristocratic family in the early 1900s. Two weeks ago, the show announced that actor Gary Carr would join the cast in season four and become the first black character in the show's history.
Diddy has been acting for over a decade now. His first role was in the comedy Made in 2001. After a few more roles, he impressed audiences with his hilarious performance in 2010's Get Him to the Greek as a music executive who felt like an exaggerated version of himself.
He's also made several television appearances, including guest starring on shows like Hawaii Five-0 and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
UPDATE: Salon Is Claiming It's Not True
According to Salon:
A representative for “Masterpiece” at PBS member station WGBH Boston emails Salon: “Very funny, but it’s simply not true.”
Well that was fast. So we guess Diddy is lying? More importantly, why would he make up such a lie?
