Earlier this week, as part of our "Man of Next Year" coverage on Mac Miller, Mac was filmed driving around in his new Fisker Karma with Mark Ecko making some negative remarks about the man he named one of his biggest songs after, Donald Trump, calling him a "fucking dick." After Ecko agreed with him, Mac added, "When he started running for president I was like, 'Oh, fuck—this is horrible, I have a fucking song with this dude's name and now he's being such a douchebag.'"

Shortly following our video post, Trump took to Twitter to respond to Mac, saying he wants the money he feels he's owed for Mac using his name, and tweeting, "Little @MacMiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance. You ungrateful dog!" This comes after Trump initially showed love to Mac when his song dropped, saying he was proud of him, and calling him "the next Eminem."

Well, it looks like Mac wants no part of another lawsuit, and has hopes to be cool with Donald again. Peep his latest tweet on the matter below.

i'm not trying to put any negative energy into the world. @realdonaldtrump let's be friends.

Smart move, Mac.
