Before kicking off his three and a half-month tour in Spokane tonight, Trevor Powers (a.k.a. Youth Lagoon) was nice enough to put his new album online in its entirety. Wondrous Bughouse won’t officially hit stores until next Tuesday, but NPR’s “First Listen” series has the whole thing for free.
Like the previously revealed single, “Mute,” the album is a low-key, ethereal affair standing somewhere between electronic experimentalism and laid-back indie pop. This marks Youth Lagoon’s second full-length, following 2011’s The Year of Hibernation. Give it a listen via the link below and grab a copy on March 5 via Fat Possum.
