Last year, The Black Keys and Danger Mouse settled a lawsuit against Home Depot and Pizza Hut that claimed their music was ripped off in the companies' commercials. And now, it looks like that might have happened again.
The Akron, Ohio has filed a new suit for similar reasons against Pinnacle Entertainment and Manhattan Production Music, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Black Keys claim that commercials for Pinnacle, which is a casino company, used music that was "substantially similar" to their song "Howlin' for You." The other advertisement was for a different casino company and allegedly has "infringing music" in it.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pinnacle has since deleted a tweet stating that it purchased a "licensed interpretation" of the Black Keys' song. Both ads in question have been pulled from YouTube.
