The late Whitney Houston is the most awarded female act of all time. In addition to being the first and only artist to have seven consecutive No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, her second album, 1987's Whitney, was the first album by a female artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

On top of being a legendary singer, Houston pursued a notable acting career, appearing in movies such as Waiting to Exhale and The Preacher's Wife. In recognition of her phenomenal life and career, she was recently honored on VH1 with performances by Jennifer Hudson and other artists.
