Two of the biggest names in the indie rock world, James Murphy and Arcade Fire, are reportedly joining forces. Arcade Fire is currently in the studio working on the highly anticipated follow-up to 2010’s The Suburbs and apparently they have enlisted the help of the former LCD Soundsystem frontman.

Arcade Fire’s manager Scott Rodger recently said,

“They’re in with James Murphy on three or so songs, plus Markus Dravs who is a long-time collaborator. They write too many songs – that’s a good problem to have. There’s around 35 songs with Arcade Fire, two albums’-worth for sure.”

Title, release date and other details of the next Arcade Fire album are still unknown.
