Earlier this morning, Nicki Minaj stopped by The Breakfast Club and had plenty to talk about. After jokingly punking Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy right off the bat, the interview with Nicki took a positive turn. She discussed her E! reality show, the availability of her latest Pink Friday re-release in Target and Best Buy, her own record label, and the feud with American Idol judge Mariah Carey. This is one of Minaj's entertaining interviews thus far. Read a few excerpts below.
On the editing of her reality show Nicki Minaj: My Truth:
“It was clear that they had an agenda and a pre-conceived idea of what they were going to show. I had to approve everything, but I’m also extremely busy. I kinda felt a little cornered. I would of shown a wider scope of what happens in my day. We’re not only yelling about steamers.”
On launching her new label:
“I have my own label and I have two artists, Parker and Brinx. I haven’t decided who we’re gonna partner up with as far as a larger company.”
On her feud with Mariah Carey:
“She didn’t want another woman on the show. That’s fine, but I’m there and I’m gonna make the most of it. It would be great to work with her because she’s so funny and when we shot the video ["Up Out My Face"] together, we had such a great time.”
