Drake faced some harsh criticism earlier this summer when he released “Enough Said,” featuring the voice of deceased R&B songstress Aaliyah. Now legendary rapper/producer/actor Ne-Yo comes to Drake’s defense on the matter.

“I have to applaud Drake for even taking on something like that,” Ne-Yo told Hot 93.7/Hartford. “[Drake] is like ‘I have a love and appreciation for what Aaliyah was and what she did and I’m gonna do this.’ I’ve gotta applaud him for that. Hats off to Drake for that.” Listen to “Enough Said” right here and pick up Ne-Yo’s next album, R.E.D., October 31 via Motown.
