Pitbull will apparently go anywhere for his fans. He's heading to Kodiak, Ala. soon after the city's Walmart won a promotional Internet campaign that called for the Miami rapper to visit a Walmart in any city in the U.S.

The Kodiak Walmart's Facebook page received over 70,000 likes and the #ExilePitbull hashtag trended on Twitter. With so many people involved, it was speculated that it was just an elaborate prank to get a couple of laughs at the rapper being forced to travel to a remote location.

“From Miami to St. Louis we saw hundreds of thousands of fans like their local Walmart Facebook page, but Kodiak was the winner,” said Walmart spokeswoman Sarah Spencer on Tuseday to ABC News.

Despite the rumors, Pitbull addressed everything on a viral YouTube video. “I heard that Kodiak, Alaska, has the most likes due to someone that thinks he was playing a prank … but you’ve got to understand, I will go anywhere in the world for my fans,” he said.

He is currently scheduled to make his appearance at Kodiak Island, which is about 225 miles southwest of Anchorage, to meet with the community and Walmart associates at the end of the month.

Here's a campaign ad that Pitbull participated in. Kodiak, get ready.
