Amy Winehouse's Family Claims She Was Not on Drugs When She Died

They say the toxicology report shows no signs of illegal substances.

According to Amy Winehouse's family, she was not under the influence of illegal drugs at the time of her death. There were signs of alochol in her system, but it's still unclear if this played a role in her death.

Chris Goodman, spokesman for the family, explains “toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.”

The singer, who was 27 years old when she passed, had battled with drug and alcohol related issues for years, often getting more attention for her problems and public breakdowns than for her talents. Her father Mitch Winehouse said that Amy had overcome her drug addiction years before her death, but admitted that his daughter still struggled with alcohol.
