We've been including all the new Vampire Weekend material on our 5 O'Clock Shuffle as it's leaked, but we never got the chance to post "Cousins" because the band's label had download links removed from pretty much everywhere on the Internet last week. Ask us, and there would have been no harm in letting this record circulate a little bit. It's the best of their recent stuff and only makes us more excited about January's Contra. They nailed the low-budget video clip above too. Looks like these guys will probably be avoiding the sophomore jinx.

What a clever idea for a video. It's like Be Kind Rewind in it's intentional cheapness. Very cool.
