This week in general nonsense, may we present to you a man who is suing his ex-girlfriend to recoup all the money he spent on their dates. Nina Zgurskaya told Russian reporters that her blossoming relationship with a "young Siberian lawyer" disintegrated during a romantic getaway in Crimea, the Telegraphreports. Several weeks later, Zgurskaya was hit with court papers.

"We went to Fedosia, Crimea, for 12 days and agreed that it was a romantic trip where he would propose to me," Zgurskaya toldPrima TV Wednesday. "But it didn't happen. So I left." Her ex-boyfriend then demanded she pay him back for the money he spent during allegedly happier times, a total he estimated to be 45,000 roubles, or roughly $684.

Though the court ultimately dismissed the original claim, Zgurskaya's ex has already filed an appeal. However, according to regional lawyer Alexander Yevdokimov (and everyone else?), the case is very, very far from a slam dunk. "I think there's little prospect of winning a case for the man, even if the situation has a certain music-hall or comic quality," Yevdokimov told Business FM, according toNDTV. "In day-to-day life, this is quite a common occurrence."

The man, who told Russian media he'd rather not be named, also claimed the two were never even in a relationship. "I never said that I was giving her a present or a free ride," he said of the dispute, which kicked off in October of last year. "Is it immoral to go to court? Am I expected to give money to every woman on the street?"

Um. What?
