Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a complete tear of his ACL and a dislocated knee during team practice on Tuesday, but it could've been a whole lot worse. While the Vikings haven't provided much information on his injury, sports injury expert Will Carroll is reporting that Bridgewater had a tibiofemoral dislocation. Now, if you're curious as to what that entails, make sure you can stomach what you're about to see.

Carroll also claims that if the trainers didn't respond to Bridgewater's injury in a timely manner, he could've lost his leg.

Carroll compared Bridgewater's injury to the one suffered by former NFL running back Napoleon McCallum. Watch at your own risk. On September 5, 1994, McCallum dislocated his knee, tore three ligaments, and had his calf and hamstring muscles ripped from the bone, according to the Los Angeles Times. Doctors told him he would never be medically cleared to play again.

Bridgewater and everyone in the Vikings organization have to be a little disappointed to hear about the lengthy recovery in store for their star quarterback. However, it appears that Teddy may have dodged a huge bullet with an injury that could've possibly ended his career.
