Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine got some face time with MC Hammer at a swanky fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign on Sunday. The fundraiser was held in Virginia, which Kaine represents as a senator. CNN reports that the fundraiser was $50,000 per ticket.Â
After meeting with Senator Kaine at the fundraiser, Hammer tweeted a photo of himself with Kaine, writing, "Dinner with Sen. Kaine (& friends) being reminded that we're not at the victory line but must be diligent & vigorous in our pursuit."
Hammer tweeted his support for Clinton and Kaine in July as well, when he shared a photo of himself with Kaine and Raul Hernandez at a Capitols hockey game in 2013.
Kaine told reporters Monday that the fundraiser "was fun," CNN reports.Â
MC Hammer wasn't the only hip-hop star to attend an event in support of the Clinton-Kaine ticket this weekend. Pusha T and Kaine were at the same campaigning event on Saturday in Miami, where Pusha T spoke to the crowd about the importance of going out to vote one election day next month.Â
