Toward the end of every year, Google drops its yearly trend report that breaks down and lists out the trending searches over the course of the year. It just released its 2015 report and one of the most surprising results to glean from it is Raf Simons' clear popularity. According to Google, Raf Simons was the most trending fashion designer throughout 2015. What that exactly means is not 100% clear because if you go to Google Trends and drop names like Karl Lagerfeld (another name on Google's list) and Rick Owens alongside Raf for example, they both had higher peaks in 2015 than he did. But it does look like Raf had the highest growth in searches in 2015 compared to previous years. So we're ok with him topping the list obviously. Whether it was his sudden departure from Dior in October or just people getting wise to his genius, Raf was a name that was plastered all over 2015. We just don't want our precious Raf to get too overexposed. He did leave Dior for a better work-life balance after all. Other names on the list along side Raf include the afore mentioned Karl Lagerfeld, notable womenswear designers Giambattista Valli, Thakoon Panichgul, Elie Saab and one big, household name in Tommy Hilfiger.
