Remember when we talked to David Casavant, the foremost Raf Simons and Helmut Lang collector this side of anywhere? Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to actually explore the archive in-depth because deadlines. But Quartz did the damn thing and explored the apartment-drowning collection of crazy vintage fashion pieces for a quick video to go along with that Helmut Lang retrospective from a few days ago.

Finally we can really see just how expansive and large David's archive really is. He says that now he's finally making a living off of the archive, which is great to hear because such ingenuity and intelligent hoarding should be rewarded. Shit is legitimately a miniature museum. The other great part of this is how he mentions that while he was trying to figure out the best way to make money off the archive he thought to himself, "Oh, if Kanye could come over..." Then, lo and behold, in the next couple of weeks, 'Ye came through and helped provide the spark to the whole business aspect of the archive. David maintains that he still wants to hold onto every single piece, no matter how much money he's being offered. That's a crazy level of artistic integrity. Keep on keeping on, homie.
