Everlane is kicking its already world-class shopping experience up a notch by introducing a new iOS app that allows you to buy clothes directly from your smart phone, plus several other helpful features.
The main function of Everlane's app, obviously, is to sell you more of its incredibly affordable basics. However, the app also allows customers to get early access to products and provides details on the weather, like what to wear or buy directly from the store—which if you live in NYC is actually useful because you can have buy and have your outfit for the day delivered in less than the amount of time it takes to get ready for work. Also, if you are an Apple Pay user, getting through checkout only requires your fingerprint.
As phones have gotten super-sized, along with the amount of time people spend on them, the need for an app could no longer be ignored. "On one end, phones are getting larger and we’ve realized that people are significantly more comfortable shopping on their mobile devices,” Everlane CEO Michael Preysman told Style.com. “At the same time, we were also seeing the same pattern—people were visiting on mobile but not converting, and we wanted to make it easier for them." Looking at the gorgeous new app, we'd say mission accomplished.
