Earlier this afternoon, we reported on a 23-year-old woman whose resemblance to Taylor Swift has earned her over $15,000. Pretty impressive, to say the least; however, that figure is chump change compared to the money one man is making by impersonating Britney Spears.
During today’s episode of The Morning, Derrick Barry was featured for his unique occupation as a Spears look-a-like—explaining it had all started when he decided to dress up as the mega pop star for Halloween one year. His look was so convincing, he told The Morning, that friends and family urged him to pursue a career as a professional impersonator. He has since traveled the world with his act, even appearing on America’s Got Talent and landing his own gig in Las Vegas.
So how much does Barry earn with his act? According to him, he has racked in about $500,000. Yes, $500,000, as in half a million.
Though he says a lot of time and effort goes into his transformation, Barry insists he has never had any plastic surgery done, and that a lot of it has to do with his “good genes.”
