We all know that brand name logos add value to otherwise ordinary items, but this story out of England takes that to a whole new level: Someone actually paid about $30 for a single potato chip just because it has a hole in it that resembles Nike's Swoosh symbol.
Rob Thompson spotted the hole in his paprika-flavoured chip and noted that it looked like the iconic logo. After his roommates made fun of his find, Thompson set out to prove that it was no ordinary chip and listed it on eBay, where it fetched 22 bids and ended up selling for £21—not a bad profit considering an entire tube of the chips costs a fraction of that price.

Thompson isn't in it just for the money, however, and plans to give all the profits to a local hospice.
