Market Week Recap: Uniforms For The Dedicated Fall/Winter 2015

None

We probably don't give Uniforms For The Dedicated enough shine around these parts if I'm being completely honest. It's a brand in the fashion world with a conscience, one that champions the use of recycled fabrics and fibers and makes doing the right thing for a change look really fucking good. That's no easy task. All of the outerwear from the brand's F/W 15 collection is made from recycled fibers and the result is really, really strong. They've got shawl collar topcoats, well-shaped blousons, bombers with contrasting sleeves and a parka with enough pockets to store your entire life's worth of supplies, complete with elbow pleats to stay mobile. Naturally, this entire slideshow is of the brand's outerwear—how Four Pins of us—but the entire offering was noteworthy. One unique look UFTD used throughout the collection that I haven't seen other brands go for is this all-over honeycomb design that gives the wearer a look as if they just stepped out of a two dimensional world from Tron or some shit. You can see that here on the first wool parka and a topcoat near the end. It's distinct patterning, but not gaudy and obnoxious. Full-on cosign.
