Last night, Aimé Leon Dore celebrated the launch of its third collection with a pop-up shop in the heart of Chinatown in NYC. Though the label launched just shy of a year ago, it has quickly made its mark, flawlessly hitting on that hard-to-walk line that straddles menswear and streetwear.

For its third collection, Aimé Leon Dore ventured deeper into menswear with cut-and-sew garments like tailored wool jackets, unconventional turtlenecks, and heavy-knit sweaters, done in a warm color palette consisting of deep camel, heather gray, navy, and cream.

The label's designer and founder, Teddy Santis, noted this season was inspired by a very specific era of New York. "This collection shows the same growth that changed the city from the early '80s to '90s—where success was on the brink of everyone's mind, and the most important thing was to be better and to grow." Born and raised in Queens, Santis added, "The line represents what I saw not only growing up, but what I still appreciate today."

Santis also emphasized the growth of the brand since it's arrival, saying, "This season was kind of like our graduation in a way. It was very important for me to show people that we know what were doing now, and that we're going to be here for a long time."

The collection is currently available at the Aimé Leon Dore pop-up shop, located at 179 Mott Street in NYC.
