For those who don’t think math is art, French digital artist Miguel Chevalier wants to prove you wrong. His latest digital installation, entitled Fractal Flowers, is now open at the Museum of Modern Art of Ceret as part of their “Exhibition Artificial Paradises 2014” event. The work features interactive “seeds” that bloom into flowers on a display screen. As museumgoers approach the piece, the flowers droop and explode before their eyes.

“Like Alice who found herself on the other side of the looking glass, visitors are transported into a magical world, in the heart of a virtual disproportionate and luxuriant nature,” said the artist.
