For the first time ever, Ronald McDonald is heading to social media and will be featured on McDonald’s Twitter account with tweets using the hashtag #RonaldMcDonald.  And new responsibilities deserve a new outfit. Yup, the famous clown is getting a makeover for the first time since 2005.

His oversized onsie is being replaced by two outfits that makes him look like slightly like a hipster clown. The first includes a technical vest layered with a striped rugby shirt finished off with some chinos. The second, meanwhile, leans towards the classier side with a blazer paired with a bow-tie for the more formal occasions. What has not changed, however, is the signature mustard yellow and red colors that have become synonymous with good ol' Ronald McDonald.

These outfits look a lot better than the jumpsuit he used to rock. Maybe it’s time for Hamburglar to grow a mustache, Captain Crook to ride a fixie, and Grimace to carry a fair trade organic cotton tote bag to give the whole gang a hipster makeover.
