Artist and designer Misha Tyutyunik and the Alumni sneaker boutique in Crown Heights, Brooklyn are hosting an event this weekend to unveil a mural that Misha painted in their store and to celebrate their recent t-shirt collaboration.
The last we saw of Misha's work was his contribution to the Bowery Wall mural with Swoonfor the "Recovery Diaspora" project. Now, the Brooklyn-based artist has blessed the "County of Kings" with a piece entitled Man is a Universe Within Himself, a quote by the legendary Reggae singer/songwriter Bob Marley. The mural and t-shirt use similar patterns with geometric and organic shapes forming large faces filled with various symbols. You can see both in person on Saturday, April 19 at Alumni while enjoying the sounds and tastes of Brooklyn.
